Luckily enough just about all of catnip's medicinal components are polar in nature or water soluble, so they easily come over in glycerin. But keep in mind, glycerin will only pull over the polar or water-soluble components. So things like volatile oils, resins and the heavier molecules that are easily extracted with alcohol will not come over in glycerine.. What this means with many herbs when you take them as a glycerite, it will not have the same effects or be anywhere near as strong as a true tincture. Just so people understand that.
