I as a white trans girl really wish id be given a chance in the spotlight like the influencers. My transness is heavily connected to ballroom, black queerness, and exclusively intentional actions of standing outside white, capitalist, oppressive systems. I make sure to stay connected to my poc community members bc i know no one can be liberated singularly. Thank you for sharing this! I love and needed to hear this🙏

i agree plus i think we also need to acknowledge what we deem as femmine and masculine also needs the context of the culture they were raised in. being trans looks different for different cultures

Exactly and this white-centered view of transness makes it seem like an imported thing in non Western countries too. like here in Iran, people lately see transness as a kind of cultural invasion, or just a performance influenced by Western media
