November Rain- Guns N’ Roses- Slash Guitar Solo- Electric Violin Cover by Nina D This solo is so singable and melodic, and that usually means that it works really well on violin. I’ve been meaning to record it for a long time. Today I had the house to myself and decided it was time. Unfortunately, it was one of those days. The universe was just fighting me every step of the way with getting this video done. There were countless other fires to put out with other aspects of my business, and every time I would get through a few seconds of attempting to get my hair and makeup done, a new call would come in with a new issue and I’d have to stop. Then when I finally had the time to get to filming, the phone holder was broken. So if the video is a little crooked, it’s because I had to pretty much tape my phone down. And every time a new call came in for a new issue, I had to deal with re-securing the phone. Then my kids came home from school and they were fighting with each other and crying. But— they came home. There are much more serious issues that people are dealing with than my minor frustrations today. The shirt I am wearing was the official NFL/Buffalo Bills shirt that was sold as a community fundraiser after the Tops Supermarket mass shooting in Buffalo, my hometown. I wore it today in solidarity for the poor students, parents and community members in Minnesota dealing with their own tragedy. My heart is with them all.
