As someone who had a split house hold my brother lived with my dad and everything you explained a “ how a son will turn out with a single mother” is exactly how my dad raised my brother, no emotional regulation no dependability or accountability, you’re explaining passive parenting. If you don’t put the work into being a parent, single parent or not, your kids won’t learn anything.
