My original specialty when I became a new nurse was neurosurgery, and I worked with one of the top neurosurgeons in the country downtown Chicago, my Patient population was patient with GBM‘s (glioblastoma) It is one of the most horrific fast moving brain tumors and I see what it does to the family now this doesn’t give her permission or justification for doing anything so drastic but I could see why she became so overwhelmed and stressed. Again, this is not by any means me saying that she was justified in her actions, but can see how this affected her decision making. I changed to Cardiology because I came home from work so incredibly depressed after watching what these patients and families went through what she did was unfathomable and selfish
