Tech for 4 years and I've seen ovarian torsion once. I've seen testicular torsion twice!

3 years here and I've personally scanned ovarian torsion like 3 or 4 times. A radiologist even complimented me when I found intermittent torsion on a patient. The ovary looked enlarged yet still had some flow, but I saw the whirlpool sign in the adnexa. Patient went to surgery and it was confirmed torsion!

I’ve seen it one time, and the patient came in as a ROUTINE outpatient for LLQ pain! Needless to say she was sent straight upstairs to be admitted.
