Pls know LPs significantly increase risk of long term CSF leaks. The #1 cause of spinal CSF leaks are LPs. And they can be very debilitating and undertreated.

no tips, I also hated LPs. practicing on the dummies kinda helps. I appreciate neuro actually doing them tho instead of just pushing it onto primary team tho lol

🧠 is the best! EMGs, nerve blocks, and Botox are more fun. Also LPs don’t make money in the community 🙃

For my own ego, i consider them to be luck strikes. like i could do 20 successful LPs one month and the have a 3 month drought. Glad i dont have to do them anymore since becoming an attending
