I’m so lucky my manager just calls once a week and asks am I ok. He sees the work is getting done to a high standard and leaves most of us too it. The one or two on the team who need help he helps. Not micromanages. He always says his job is done if he doesn’t have to check on us and our work!

Literally experiencing this yesterday and today. You forgot to mention “it’s policy” and “I’m sure it was just a mistake”. Oh, and the phrase “going forward …” And don’t forget to use line managers in supervisions as your pawns to micromanage for you. I’m not loving my job during this 😢
