Weird to say this but GTA 5 is genuinely such an underrated game. It gets hate for being milked to death and not being as “realistic” or “gritty” as 4, but it really is pure fun. Playing this game is so fun. Online is fun, story mode is fun. This game really just is pure fun. 6 will almost certainly be better but what 5 did for the open world genre really shouldn’t be forgotten. It’s almost a double edged sword. The open world crime game so good it essentially killed its own competitors. Watch Dogs was relevant for a minute, but Ubisoft fumbled the bag there. GTA 5 will always be the epitome of its genre.
