hear me out: just use the strawberries after the sugar step, add some yoghurt after (or cream, condensed milk, etc) and eat it that way. Was a snack I loved growing up ❤ the strawberries also only need to sit in the sugar for couple of hours that way and needs less sugar. Just enough so the water gets out 😊

I love doing this with powdered sugar! It's also similar to how I make my lemon syrup...juice 3 lemons and add 100g caster sugar, then mix until sugar is dissolved. You could also use the fruit syrup to make ice pops (or flavoured lemonade like you did). 💖
