@jeanbeanstudio: PAAL APAM 🥥🍚🌾 [Batter ingredients to make about 10 apams] 🔸Raw rice, 1 cup (soak for minimum 3 hours) 🔸Cooked rice, half cup 🔸Fresh grated coconut, 1 cup (mine in crumbles because I always freeze my fresh grated coconut) 🔸Activated yeast water, 2 tbsp (I activated it by mixing warm water + vellam sugar + 2 tsp of dried yeast) 🔸Salt to taste ⏳This is a simple recipe but you need to manage time properly, here’s what I do: I soak raw rice after dinner about 8pm. I start making the batter before I sleep, around 11pm. Let it ferment overnight (about 8-10 hours). Chill it in the fridge if you want it to stop fermenting. This kind of arrangement is perfect if you want to eat it for breakfast. . [Coconut dipping sauce] 🔸Coconut milk 🔸Sugar and salt to taste 🔸[optional] Pandan leaf . ⚠️ For beginners- I would suggest to work with the non-stick Paal Apam wok to avoid disappointment. You can buy it in all online marketplaces or Indian shops. Just search for “apam wok”.
