Many ordinary Indonesians are struggling every single day just to survive. They work tirelessly, endure hardship, and pay heavy taxes to support their nation. Yet, the reality is that many senior-ranking government officials and the wealthy elite seem detached from these struggles. While the common people face daily challenges, the rich and powerful often live in luxury—enjoying big mansions, relaxing in high-end cafés, driving expensive cars, and sending their children abroad for education. This clear divide shows how the upper class continues to enjoy privileges without truly understanding or addressing the pain of the people who keep the country running. It is heartbreaking to see how corruption, exploitation, and misuse of national funds have created deep dissatisfaction and anger among the ordinary citizens of Indonesia. Instead of protecting and uplifting the people, many in power appear to prioritize their own interests, worsening inequality and driving frustration. As a Malaysian, I can empathize with the struggles of our Indonesian brothers and sisters. I deeply respect and support those who take a firm stand through demonstrations and protests, fighting against corruption and injustice. Their courage is a reminder that real change comes when people refuse to remain silent in the face of unfairness.
