I'm a Chelsea fan, but I don't understand Man. U at all. Why do they like buying players a manager wants, yet he won't be around in 2 to 3 years? They need to create a group of scouts and a recruitment team that will spot players and recruit on behalf of the club. Recruitment should be the one that fits the club's style of football, not the manager, and get a manager that will play the type of football the club wants.

Knowledge doesn’t necessarily translate to practice. He was terrible at man united as a coach and the players he had were not all average, a few world class players in his squad. You can push for a 6th place with those caliber. Alex finished second and won the league with O’Shea in every position

Chelsea fan, absolutely no dog in this fight but having watched United for so many years the issues seem to come from every angle, it’s the managers tactics, the recruitment, the fans, the board and the players all at the same time. Honestly they needed to do what Chelsea did and just overhaul everyone entirely, some players will be a loss but you’ll gain more, when you’ve got 11 players that want to play for man united on the pitch you’ll be beating teams like Grimsby at the very least, build from there
