If the popular theory that the Paw-Paw fruit was used to initially scatter the poneglyphs is true, that goes with your idea of “suspending” things. Come to think of it the use of it at Sabaody also “suspended” the event of Luffy losing someone. It saved his crew but he still lost Ace later, that pain found its way back to him.

this is why I love Kuma and Luffy. So much they are top 2 for me the series because Kuma learning this lesson is beautiful but Luffy just naturally does these things
