If you’ve ever heard about Stowe being one of the best places in New England to experience fall foliage, it’s true. Some people call it overrated, but if you time your trip for peak season (late September into early October), the colors will leave you speechless. Yes, it gets busy, but that’s only because it’s that good 🧡🍁 The town itself is charming, but the real magic is in everything around it. Whether you’re here for outdoor adventure, traveling with kids, or just craving cozy fall vibes, Stowe has something for everyone. Here’s my personal list of Stowe fall stops, ranked from my favorites to least favorites: 🌄 Barnes Camp Boardwalk – A short, easy walk with picture-perfect mountain views
🚠 Gondola SkyRide – Pricey, but worth it for the ride (tip: grab a drink at Cliff House Restaurant at the top)
🚗 Smugglers’ Notch Drive – A must-do scenic road, just expect traffic
💧 Bingham Falls – Quick hike to a waterfall framed by fall colors
🚲 Thompson Park – Perfect for biking through the foliage
💒 Stowe Community Church Viewpoint – One of the most photographed fall overlooks in New England

🍦 Ben & Jerry’s Factory – Fun if you’re into a tour, otherwise skippable
🍎 Cold Hollow Cider Mill – Busy and honestly, the cider donuts didn’t live up to the hype
