I was taught this too.Went for upgrade and was taught pattern drafting too. The truth is the both is perfect. Just do what works for you. Never see yourself less,simply because you can't do the later. Just master your game 👌. This was what I learnt o, we sew Igbo blouse and peplum top with 6pieces, 8 pieces , kneel flare, straight gown, it was hard then o, now we look back and realize that life was so simple and not complicated like all the styles we have now.😅

2015-2017 na Wetin Den teach us b this 😂 then if a client want to make a corset dress she’ll need to use wedding gown as an example cus corset was only common on a wedding dress not a commodity like today 😩
