A big reason why the harry potter books have a great fandom is because JK Rowling is such a bad author that most of the fanfics are rewritten to fix everything including the characters

the world building already have been done is one of the reasons it's so easy for me to read fanfic. it's so easy to drop deep into a story when I don't have to sludge through introductions

this is also why most enemies to lovers books suck. they're either not actually enemies (people disliking each other does not make them enemies!) or they don't experience the "enemies" phase long enough for it to actually matter

This why it’s less intimidating for me to start a fan fic. It doesn’t take brain power bc I know everything

It’s so true! Once the world building is out of the way it allows great plot to take place

I started into Dramione in January. Some of the works I've read, have been the most well written stories I've ever come across.

I just cannot read romance that is not Dramione anymore. All the published ones cringe me out sooo bad. I read a page and I get done with it 😭

Idk how much dramione I’ve read since I started in 2014 😩 I’ve lost count and sometimes I forget the plots so I have to reread them 😅

Perfectly said. One of the fics I have read over and over made me bawl my eyes out, much more than I did with the original work.

I cannot read romance thats not Drarry (Draco x Harry) anymore; they’ve ruined romance books for me lmao. The beautiful writing of fanfics, the complexity of the characters, the YEARNING AND LONGING…… unmatched!!!

I’m speaking for myself here and why I enjoy Dramione specifically. I’m the same age as the HP actors, and the films released, for the most part, in line with my own schooling. So, their first year of Hogwarts was my first year of secondary (high) school and so on. I grew up with them. All throughout school I had a huge crush on Draco/Tom Felton. I think he might have been my first proper celebrity crush? So it’s born from that. THAT BEING SAID, when I read Dramione I do not picture Tom Felton and if the fic gives me Tom Felton vibes I DNF it 😅🤣

Honestly one of my favorite “books” is a SasuNaru fanfic called In Good Company because of how it handles loss and mourning. It has some of the best writing I’ve come across. It’s SO GOOD.
