I'm going to say this as a mother of 6, ages 3-20, I have ALWAYS had a mental health provider and I would ALWAYS let them know how I felt and I was and still am ALWAYS met with, "your kids are always so put together" "there's no way you're sleeping all day, they look fed and happy..!" comments like those. nobody has and nobody ever does check to see if I'm ok! the system failed this mother and her children miserably. my heart is broken for her and I can't stop crying bc I feel what she's feeling so much.
