Anna these situations can backfire badly if you're not someone who has let's say closed a big deal or contract and now has respect and credibility... or they look like you as a female or me as a male, where we get instant recognition and people wanting to interact with us regardless. For many people approaching a group such as you're describing and trying to fit in without merit or stunning looks like us can be devastating.
