🌞🌝🗣️I hear what you were pointing at, density, compression, potential before release. Coal, diamond, oil, fire, all speak to contained force, not absence. Where I pause is the word blackness itself. It turns a functional state into a symbol, and symbols carry identity, origin myths, and contrast the thing itself doesn’t need. Similarly, the idea of “going to the other side to write a check” reads as metaphor. Creation doesn’t require leaving yourself, your pulse, your presence, already contains the template. Replication isn’t about traveling elsewhere; it’s about expressing what already flows within. What you described, whether in latent power or regulated presence, doesn’t need darkness or light to justify it. It just is: active, sufficient, already here. Poetry can gesture toward that truth, but I stay careful where metaphor starts replacing reality. To me, it’s less color, less elsewhere, more pulse, more presence.
