I immigrated here 32-years-ago when I was 8. Granted, as a white European I have a lot of privilege. No one knows I’m an immigrant unless I tell them. I’ve been told about the “American Dream” since I can remember, literally. It feels gone now. It truly feels it’s been destroyed.

Immigrants have incredible drive and are very hard workers. Their children generally do really well and contribute greatly to society. We as Americans are going to lose.

So many were sold a dream and it’s slowly turning into a nightmare. We did everything right. We continue to do everything right but for what?

a lot of our parents are returning to their countries now that they are retiring, fo us 1st generation it doesn't seem so bad following them, having children there etc
