@lifewithpigssanctuary: Can you believe that Jenna is gonna be eight years old this year (in November)? Only two more months until Jenna is officially two years older than even the oldest of dairy cows. But that’s not because they have a short lifespan. It’s because on dairy farms, around 4 to 6 years old is when cows start to slow in their milk production which means farmers aren’t going to profit as much off them and they are sent by the farmers who claim to love them to make them into cheap hamburger. That’s the great thing about being a sanctuary. The animals here get to live out the entirety of their lifespan. Hopefully Jenna will live well over 20 years. And I will love every minute of getting to have her as my big knucklehead best friend.
