Missed my firm imperial offer (A*AA) and insurance UCL offer (AAA) for chemistry on results day where I ended up getting AAB with the B being 6 marks off and I’ve got a place through clearing and going to KCL to study natural sciences. Honestly, the course is amazing and I’m so excited to study it because I like all the sciences and it is much better suited to me than straight chemistry and it has an optional study abroad at Cornell university in America (which I will be trying to get a place). Rejection IS redirection and everything happens for a reason.

Happens to the best of us, such an open and hardworking person and got us all through exams season and the way youve approached rejection just shows your going to be the best at what you do ! UCL is one of the best unis in the world even getting in is such a flex - i got rejected (😜🔥), and its gonna open more doors than you can imagine,, our GOAT

Doesn’t mean you didn’t get Oxford you can’t be successful. I don’t understand why people get upset there’s people who didn’t in are doing so much better then the people who did.

This happened to me too last year. Something to remember is how different it is now. My grandfather went to Oxford with three Bs at a level to study history. That just wouldn’t happen these days. It’s a shame they put so much weight on the grades but you can always try again for a masters and i also ended up going to a London uni (KCL) and have found there are so many opportunities here and it is actually a lot more fitting for certain people. Don’t let it crush your worth !

imagine how many people get rejected straight off the bat when just APPLYING to Oxford, you made it all the way but just fell short at the last hurdle. insane achievement to even get in the first place which i know would never happen to me lol, don’t beat yourself up too much!! 💕

There’s more to life than Oxford mate and I’m guessing if you’re smart enough to think about applying for Oxford your probably smart enough to get into other top unis like LSE Imperial UCL and so on you’ll be fine.

I missed my firm (LSE) by a grade and decided to go KCL instead this year and it’s looking really fun and exciting so rejection can be redirection 100% sure. UCL is a great uni regardless I hope you enjoy it 🙂↔️

Same with my son. He was aiming Oxford since high school but change his mind during 2nd year A-level. He said..he’s mentaly exhausted. Tired of pushing himself to get straight A’s since school. Igcse got straight 10A’s…and so he took his feet off the gas..got 2A*2A’s and he is in UCL now. What matters he’s happy now. 🥰🥰
