i agree!! i feel like these are the ones that didn’t make short and sweet. i don’t think it was meant to be a completely different album. i love nobody’s son.

Short N Sweet had a general pop sound while Man’s Best Friend is so 70s inspired that if you don’t like that music or sound, you’re not really gonna like the album

it’s not fun and quippy but sonically it’s better than short and sweet, sns was like a collection of fun singles but mbf was soooo cohesive and just great overall as a body of work

Yeah imo there’s only like 3 or 4 songs I like, but most of the slower songs were just so boring to me like there was nothing special, whether it was the music or lyrics. Like for most of the songs on MBF I won’t ever listen to again 😭
