My nails flake off in layers and bend (and then get micro cracks) no matter what I do. Nail polish also won't stay on for long. Even if I clean my nails with acetone first. I've heard others with EDS, particularly hEDS complain about these issues too. Might be that the nail matrix doesn't form the nail right because of compromised structural integrity. The keratin itself is fine, how it's constructed into a nail might be shoddy. They also separate from the nail bed far too easily.
