I worked as a cake decorator for a grocery store for many years. Our clerks were fairly aware of my and my assistant’s abilities and would, for the most part, be able to make a decision on our behalf. If there were any doubts or questions, they would come get me or leave me a note where I could see it so I could contact the customer myself. Part of being on top of your orders is looking at them days in advance so if there is any confusion, it can be cleared up. There should be all the customer’s contact information on the order for this exact reason.

I love some grocery store drama! Last drama I overheard at the store was a family on a big family vacation, matching shirts and all. Well this younger lady was fighting with another young lady, she tried to get her dad on her side, dad was not having the nonsense. So she goes to Aunt Mary to plead her case. Aunt Mary was sick of her crap too, cue full on meltdown in the produce section, tears, sitting on the floor and all.

Fyi the brand fairlife uses UHT processing and aseptic bottling. So their dairy milk is shelf stable and doesn’t need to be refrigerated until after opening. They sell it in individual bottles too which may help you keep it around for when you want it 🥰
