your newest dinner rotation meal🍽️ ingredients: • bone in short rib (or meat of choice, i used thinner meat for a quicker cook) • carrots • onion •garlic (whole & crushed) • turmeric • cumin • salt • bay leaves •chicken & beef bouillon • rice steps for making plov(my version): 1. cut your beef meat off the bone & render the bones with a little butter & oil to get any of that leftover fat out. (dishes like these it's important to infuse as much flavor from the bottom up) 2. remove the bones and sear your meat in that fat. 3. once your meat has a near good sear, remove it and ada your onions on a low heat so it get a nice caramelized taste to them. 4. after about 15 minutes, add your carrot and cook for another 10 minutes. 5. add back your meat along side your crushed garlic back into the pot. cover and let cook another 5 minutes. 6. add all your spices and let them slightly toast before adding in your chicken/beef broth. 7. bring that to a slight boil before adding in your rice and leveling it out. add slight idents in the rice so the water can reach all the way to the bottom. (2:1 ratio for rice and water) 8. add your whole garlic in the middle and cover and let it cook for 45 minutes UNTOUCHED on low heat. 9. once the 45 minutes are done, do not open the lid yet and let it sit there covered for another 20 minutes with the heat off. 10. after all that time, it's now ready to enjoy serve with a light tomato and onion salad and that freshly roasted garlic.
