@drwilloughjenkins: 10 Hard Conversations You Need to Have with Teen Girls If you are not having these conversations with your daughter, someone else will. Parenting a teen girl means leaning into the hard talks that shape who she becomes. 1. Consent and relationships. She needs to know her voice matters and “no” is always enough. 2. Online safety. Discuss sexting, privacy, and how quickly digital choices can spread. 3. S*x, 🌽, and protection. If you do not talk about it, TikTok or friends will. 4. Mental health. Normalize talking about anxiety, depression, and asking for help. 5. Body image and eating pressures. Talk openly about dieting culture, social media, and self-worth. 6. Substances. Be clear about the risks of vaping, alcohol, and drugs. 7. Friendship drama. Help her see when friendships are healthy and when they are not. 8. Failure and resilience. Show her how to recover from mistakes instead of fearing them. 9. Money and independence. Teach budgeting, saving, and the value of financial freedom. 10. The power of her voice. Remind her that speaking up in class, in relationships, and in the world changes everything. ✨ These talks are not always easy, but they matter. Having them early and often gives her the tools to grow with confidence. Follow for more real conversations and insights from teens every day. #parentingteengirls #raisinggirls #teenadvice #parentingtips #teenmentalhealth

Girl loves her pink 🇨🇦 :
These are great to hear as a mom of a teen boy so I can help him understand the pressures that are put on his friends.

What if your child won’t talk? I have a great relationship with my daughter but as soon as I mention anything (directly or indirectly) I am told to ‘stop’ and she removes herself from the conversation. This is across the board with any type of feelings/personal things.

we can share it but teens think we are thinking too much about it and their relationship won't turn out like that so how to make them understand that it's serious and people can come across toxic relationships and friendships

My 15yr old daughter is a ppl pleaser when it comes to family, however amongst her friend group she’s very assertive and a no nonsense girl.

I just wished my daughter didn't hate me, she's 14 and thinks I'm the horrible mum who doesn't know how to have fun or do fun things or spend loads of money just on her, she also has younger siblings but doesn't care about them

I've done all this. my daughter is just amazing, she knows her worth, she will not tolerate any bs, she can recognise toxic relationships. I am so proud of her.
