The difference definitely feels racialized. People attach Islam to Arab/North African folks and therefore must be inherently flawed because it’s not inherently “white” in the way Judaism is viewed.

There is certainly truth to this, but I do want to add that as a Jew I have also had several people say things to me along the lines of “the violence committed by the Israeli government proves that Jews are violent by nature,” which is much more of a 1:1 comparison with what you have sadly experienced as a Muslim. It depends on whose perspective you’re getting. Thanks for pointing this out though as it is a great observation!

I noticed with Torres reaction, it resembles how the criminal justice system works legislatively where we say "listen to victims," but the only way we to find victimhood is if they're asking for more prosecution, and if someone is asking for clemency or for their rights to be recognized then they lose their "victimhood" status.

I see your point.. but if we talk about violence by a certain religion, I Munich rather go into an airplane full of jews than full of Muslims withoutan eray machine. I think 99% of the people on the world will say the same. He doesn't have to agree with a state of Israel nobody dose. He just have to do his homework so he will sound less ignorant. He was quoting numbers that were published only by "The Gardian" and no one else. And yeh... jews, z none jews that are zionists and even falafel places are being attacked. Are they all responsible for what's happening in Israel?

yep and imo it’s in no small part because the ruling class sees jewish americans and muslim/arab americans as borderline fictional characters. they have this character of what the average person of this demographic is like and react in an extremely hostile way towards anyone who doesn’t align with their fantasy and torres telling adam that “[adam] doesn’t know what it’s like being jewish in america” is extremely indicative of that
