I wonder who was the first human to taste a lemon, and assume they were safe for human consumption. It was obviously someone who was seriously mentally ill. Like my little sister. She had Autism and ADHD. She loved eating raw lemons. Maybe it was to get the taste of her toes out of her mouth, because she sucked on her toes, not her thumb. She was a weird child, but I loved her more than anything in the world. RIP my precious little pumpkin princess (1989-2008, self-X).
