@kimberlycfimbres: There’s sooo many other factors to consider. This came to mind as I was driving home from work. Idk maybe now that I see the numbers and I see reality it makes it harder to make to navigate parenthood. #Budgeting #zerobasedbudgeting #financialfreedom #financialliteracy #fypシ
Yesss 👏🏼we did Dave Ramsey in 2016-2017 before having my son & it was the best thing we could’ve done. I don’t follow Dave Ramsey any more but it set us up to be financially responsible. We bought a condo we could afford with only one of our incomes & decided that to live the life we want to live (travel, save, etc) we could only have one kid.. & so that’s what we did.

I completely understand! Right now I am going through a lot trying to figure out if I want to invest in retirement or buy a house. My husband and I are 26 and live in Massachusetts and daycare here is soooo expensive 😭. I truly feel torn too!

I totally get that but you’re also building great habits with your money that you’ll continue with kids! I have 3 i get their clothes second hand, don’t have a nursery or crib or expensive/elaborate set ups. You can have kids and continue to budget and save. It’s an added expense with food and stuff but it’s not crazy. Even birthdays and Christmas we keep it simple and I don’t go crazy with gifts or parties. you can create the life you want with kids 💕

This is true!! I was the one that had kids in my early 20s. However, now I’m grateful we did as I’m heading into my 30s with school aged kids with a complete different mindset. 💛

We had our first at 20 and our other 2 by the time we were 25. We never thought about “how will we make it work” we just did. It’s definitely a different perspective. Now we sit and think about how much money we’d have if we didn’t have any kids 😂 wouldn’t change it for the world though!

I wouldn’t have bought a home. I would have bought a 3/2 apartment and called it a life with my husband. I would have also not had multiple dogs. There’s so much that goes into being a good parent, adult, spouse. Money seriously can cause so much stress. 🥺
