@thinkingcanine: What should be done in a situation like this? This dog is dangerous. He has an uninterruptible level of aggression. He is attacking a dog who is clearly terrified and trying to get away. And his owner has no control. Then, he flees the situation. A police report and animal control report should be made so that charges can be pressed and a judge can decide if the dog needs stipulations placed to keep the community safe. These situations are so unfair. Why was this dog brought to a busy event at all. And no muzzle, no harness? #reactivedog #dogparents #dogbehavior
why would that owner be so irresponsible to bring his reactive dog to an event like that?!! I feel like people should have to take a class to own a dog at this point. Im tired of people being so recklessly ignorant.

Repeat after me "reactive dogs should not go into social areas".
That poor sheepdog, it will forever be affected by that.

The Reactive Journey :
If a reactive dog is going to do that and instigate a problem, they need to be muzzled. Most reactive dogs are all noise but as soon as they start escalating to those levels, we need to implement more management to keep everyone safe. Some dogs simply enjoy fighting!

What an entitled ahole that guy is. 100000% avoidable and he has no business having a dog. Putting others dogs lives at risk

Two of my dogs are extremely docile and calm on leash. The third is leash reactive. I absolutely leave him at home if I want to take the others on leash in a social setting. It’s not complicated.

I have a rescue who was never socialized and I honestly don’t know how she would act around other dogs bc she is a ball of anxiety. I purposefully walk her before sunrise to avoid encounters with other dogs. Taking a dog with aggression issues to this event is reckless

Not taken on a dog run. May have messed up the other dog permanently. May not be able to handle going around other dogs again.

If you bring any dog - any dog- into this situation this is a risk you take.

No they need to be gone period. Stop tolerating this at all. Dogs are meant to be companions they’re not supposed to be mauling other dogs or people. And ESPECIALLY not in today’s day and age. There’s too many dogs in the world to keep these ones around.

Any advice to help with duration training with the muzzle? I feel like we’re stuck at around a minute and then my girls start to paw at the muzzle and don’t really want to take treats. It’s been like this for a while and usually I’ll use a bunch of peanut butter so they wear it and lick it clean, but when it’s gone they quickly realize!

looks like a brown dog started it, the english sheepdog was getting attacked and the owner picked it up and ended up just dropping him on the ground...

What should be done? Is that owner should be defined for having a dog like that at this kind of event without having a muzzle on it and not being in control of that dog
