@thereal.kus: Sri Lankan Mr Damsith Wimalasena makes the point to Charlie Kirk during his Cambridge debate session, that other peoples did take steps to abolish slavery before judeo-Christian cultures. Though his actual claim is not quite accurate
@NILANTHA:What he says is TOTALLY WRONG. King Asoka NEVER ABOLISHED SLAVERY. In Indian society there were NO SLAVES. Indian Society was based on CAST HIERARCHY SYSTEM. From Highest Cast BRAHMINS to Lowest cast DALITS. Buddhism was LIVED in India for a very short period during King Ashoka. Again HINDUISM became the predominant religion after ASOKA'S death. He wasn't even prepared to ask the question. Even ASOKA couldn't conquer and unite the entire India. He didn't rule the southern part of India.
Even his question was TOTALLY WRONG. 😂😂😂😂

I don't think slavery existed in our cultures. Hindu and Buddhist. There was a caste system though that created a lot of problems and still does.
