You should probably have stuff to talk about with the person you’re dating so I’d say maybe it isn’t meant to be

i haven’t heard of flamme before.. curious what is it? personally i survived ldr by filling my own calendar: new job, gym every day, picked up hobbies, even sewing lol. made me way less dependent on his replies.

just have trust. you have no control over the other persons actions. there’s no point in self sabotage. when smth is bothering us we just bring it up. the other comforts each other and we go about. we call every night on discord and watch movies, play games, youtube, etc

I’ve been in my relationship for 2 years and 3 months. As long as you both work on helping through rough times and accept that people will and can change. I have more advice if needed.

Remember that you don’t have to talk all the time you guys are living separate lives so when you go a little while without talking sometimes it helps with better conversations and keeping it alive and then doing cute ft like watching movies together, play online games together, and schedule when the next time to see each other so you have something to look forward to.

We call everyday for atleast 3 hours. Find something to talk about. If you actually love him distance doesn’t matter

I love him and the distance won’t do anything even when we are on ft he lets me see him while he plays the game with his friends so i js stare at my pretty boy and when we otp im in the group call or listen to what’s going on/who he is talking to or we watch tt tg or we play games tg. Been on and off for 4 years and we are at almost 7 months now (7 months on the 5th) I could never leave him js bcz of long distance he is my first love and we are trying to meet in 3 months I rlly hope it happens after 4 years I deserve to meet my sweet boy. I hope he is my last love

long distance is REALLY hard but it’s not impossible. me and my long distance boyfriend (now husband 🥹) took a while to get into a good routine and set boundaries. we survived by planning dates - movie/dinner nights, face time, game nights (imessage games, exploding kittens, wavelength), bible studies, even sleeping on the phone together. we talked about what we were and weren’t comfortable with each other doing without the other (ex: deciding clubs weren’t a place we wanted to be without the other). we also used the distance as an opportunity to get to know each other beyond just the flesh - getting to know each other’s minds, why we think the way we think and why we are the way we are, what shaped us into how we are now, and having those deep conversations and what we both want in the future to see if our plans align. distance also makes it really easy to use breaking up as an easy way out - we never brought that up. arguments are going to happen it’s normal, but the price of intimacy is conflict - it’s not a bad thing 💕

when you guys ft just be in each others presence it’s okay if you don’t talk 24/7 trust me the topics to talk abt will fizzle from time to time but it’s important to just be in their presence and just mention things that happen like “i almost dropped this lol” or something similar it helps feel like they’re really there

u just have to trust him which is the hardest part to accept. u have to trust in what u guys have built is worth all of the distance. bc if he wanted to do u dirty he could’ve, and the fact u both choose to stay everyday is reason enough to show u guys are strong enough to withhold any time apart. once u accept that he truly does feel the same way u do, it’ll be a relief for u trust me. and u can ask for reassurance as many times as u need to get there, definitely didn’t happen overnight for me

I think that long distance is only viable if it’s short term and both of yall know how to use discord

the thing i’ve had to overcome is my fear of actually communicating. you need to have that conversation no matter what. hard conversations are hard because you love that person despite the distance. communicate your wants, your needs, your desires, your fears, communicate everything.

oh i overthink after lack of contact because i’m by myself, i get in my own head and psych myself out, and then we talk, and it’s okay, does it mean i’ll never overthink again? no, but i know when the distance is closed the overthinking will definitely not be as bad and probably minimal. we were LD for 5 months and now it’s been almost a month of long distance again. people say the distance means nothing when the person means everything, but i say when the person means everything, the distance means a lot too. not to say it means something that makes you want to give up, but you’re constantly reminded of it. when you do normal things it’ll remind you of when you did those things with your person. you’ll have your bad days, and that’s okay, but don’t give up on your person even when the distance starts getting to you. 🥰

I learn to find happiness in the hardness. If feeling sad because I miss them is the cost then be willing to pay it daily. The cost of loving someone IS to choose to feel. Think of it as “you love them so much your willing to let your love reach miles away”

Long distance for a couple of years and honestly a lot of calling helps, we play games together on call or watch movies together, no way you and your partner who are supposed to be what friends don’t have enough to talk about
