The number one lie you tell yourself is that you don’t need to practice for a job interview because “you do better on the spot.” No, you don’t. Trust me, I have taught over 10,000 clients to interview better and I have never seen anyone do “better on the spot.” Everyone does better when they prepare and practice. I get it, you went on chat GPT and wrote out a bunch of answers to interview questions. And you watched all my videos, and you even read a few books about interviewing, but I promise you that is not what is going to help you get better at job interviews. And that is NOT practicing. 🏊‍♂️That’s like reading a book about swimming and telling people you know how to swim. You can’t read a book about swimming and expect not to drown. 📖Watching videos and reading about it is the theory it’s just the first step. The next step is to practice. Ahead of your next job interview I want you to practice answering standard interview questions, in fact I have made a video that you can use, 👉🏼Watch it here, @Anna Papalia practice your interview answers and pause the video watch it back. 👈🏼 🧑🏽‍💻The fastest and most effective way to get better at job interviews is to record yourself answering interview questions and then watch it back. ▪️You can see how long or how short your answers are. ▪️You will be able to see what your answers might be missing. ▪️A job interview is conversational, so you need to practice having the conversation. ▪️Get your interview answers from your brain to your mouth. A couple times. Just like swimming. You can’t just watch someone swim and expect to know how to do it. You need to jump in the pool and figure it out. Learn how it feels and practice getting used to it. Otherwise, if you don’t practice before your next job interview, you’re going to drown in your job interview. The choice is yours, practice and look stupid in the privacy of your own home or make a fool of yourself in the actual job interview. #jobinterview #interviewprep #howtogetbetter #confidence #careertipstiktokcontest
