The film, often known internationally as Run, Wonder Princess, Galactic Wonder Princess, or even Galactic Warrior Wonder Princess, was directed by Kim Chung-gi — the same creator behind the cult classic Robot Taekwon V. 🌟 The heroine of the film was clearly modeled after Lynda Carter’s #WonderWoman, who was at the peak of her TV fame at the time. She even spins to transform, just like #LyndaCarter did on screen. She stops bullets with her bracelets and throws her tiara like a boomerang. The story follows a super-powered alien princess who flees an evil empire, befriends a human astronaut, and decides to defend Earth against intergalactic threats. Because #SouthKorea had restrictions on importing foreign superhero media in the 70s, studios often made their own versions inspired by popular Western characters. Wonder Princess was one of these creations — a fascinating piece of vintage pop culture history, blending East-Asian animation with American #superhero influence.
