Day 29/30: Nervous About Visiting a Japanese Onsen? Here’s What It’s Actually Like ♨️ If you’re visiting Japan, soaking in an onsen (hot springs) is a must-do, but if it’s your first time, it can feel a little intimidating. Here’s what you need to know: ✔️ Everyone bathes naked (no swimsuits!) ✔️ You’ll shower before getting in — side by side, seated on little stools ✔️ The vibe is peaceful, respectful, and super zen ✔️ Indoor, outdoor, and private options are available ✔️ Once you’re in… it’s unbelievably relaxing Now before anyone says anything, filming in onsens is not allowed as they’re shared, clothing-free spaces and privacy is a big deal in Japan. BUT these onsens were closing in a few minutes so we knew no one else would be coming in or out and we were completely alone, otherwise you wouldn’t be watching this video. As creators and bloggers, content is our life and we cannot simply take photos from the website as that would be copyright infringement, so we always need to have our own footage but at the same time we always make sure we respect the places we are visiting. 📌 Save this for later & share it with someone planning a Japan trip! 🇯🇵✨ Don’t forget to follow @carmaadventures for more amazing Japan tips and tricks 🫶 . . . #tokyo #thingstodointokyo #japantravel #tokyotrip #japantips #visitjapan #japantrip #onsenexperience #japaneseculture #japanbucketlist #traveljapan #hotspringsjapan #japanonsens #onseninjapan #thingstodoinjapan #mustdoinjapan #experiencesinjapan
