I remember when I was just 12 and I tried to protect my best friend from her boyfriend, who was only 13 at the time. I ended up with bruises all over my body because I stepped in between them. We were so young, too young to be caught up in toxic fights like that. I kept reminding my best friend to let him go, not just because I wanted what was best for her, but because no one at that age or at any age deserves to go through that kind of pain and abuse. Relationships at that stage should never be filled with hurt, fear, or violence.

i had the same reaction but with my parents. when i was so tired of the way they treated me i screamed and lost my mind in the same way and then they called me “abusive” and not respectful. now i’m trying to stay silent and calm, i don’t answer and i’m trying to leave this house in a month hopefully
