Nope! Take him to a podiatrist. Took my son twice for both of his big toes. He took out the ingrown nail and there's like .0005 chance he will get another ingrown nail on those toes.

I hate ingrown toenails. I finally had enough and had my big toe toenails permanently removed. One of the best decisions I've made so far. No more ingrown toenails ever again!!

Never cut round, always straight across. You can also cut a V in the middle to help them grow out and the cut straight

have you tried barefoot shoes? maybe her little piggies are getting squished together in her shoes. my son was starting to get them before I switched his shoes and we haven't had a problem since the switch.

I work for a podiatrist and you are cutting wrong you gotta cut straigth down the way you are doing ankles them grow back even worse

Yep same way and I’m 40 , i feel like when they get removed to often it makes it worse . And mine are only on big toes .

I absolutely dislike with a vengeance getting a pedicure & the FIRST thing they go for is trying to cut DEEP into the corners!! Ummmm HELLLOOOOO that makes ingrowns! My last pedicure I refused to let them cut my corners & they tried blaming their 💩 polish job on me for not letting them cut the corners 🤦🏽♀️😂😡

Such a helpful reminder. A lot of ingrowns actually come from tiny bits of nail left in the corners after trimming. So education like this really matters — people don’t realize how quickly the edges can curl inward over time.

So, uh, cutting them down crazt means they'll hurt again when they grow. They need to be past the painful part. But it takes a while of hurt ☹️

Going way too far down on the sidewalk. I would recommend a good soak, cuticle remover and an instrument to clear the impacted material. Then just let them grow until the nail is even all the way across!
