One time my clinic attending made me call the TRAUMA SURGEON in the ED to give him a “heads up” that we were sending a patient (he had seen a few days ago) back to the ED. I swear my attending was sadistic.

As a pediatric emergency medicine fellow my attending tried to get me to call a neurologist in the middle of the night because a kid was in the ED for an ear infection and was also having intermittent nightmares. 😒 I was like.... absolutely not.
