Maybe a silly question, but are all 50 athletes being seen for a documented injury? We only keep detailed notes on athletes that have injuries that cause them to miss time or get referred. If they’re coming in to do prehab on soreness or do things for recovery, they sign in and we mark off things they did but they’re not getting a full note for that.

Fall of last year I ended up with a gnarly concussion and couldn’t tolerate documentation because the screen time killed me. My MD was able to get my company to approve Dragon to do dictation since my concussion happened at work, so workers comp. Still have it now and it is a life saver.

I have a little notebook and as they come in when it’s crazy I just jot down words/little notes and then put it in when I can🥹

🙋🏼‍♀️I’m an ATC that does per diem full time and I travel- I’m always looking to help out others and this is honestly something I’ve thought about offering somehow. An ATC specific scribe 🤷🏼‍♀️AT voice records evals and noted on some app and then I go in and input them in as notes to your EMR.

I open an email on my phone when I am walking home. I voice dictate to myself as I walk, then email myself. can cut and paste it into my EMR the next morning.

I will pull up the ATS app during practices and talk-to-text my notes. Makes things go much faster.

This may not be exactly what you’re looking for but I have used google forms and that’s how they are able to sign in and put exactly what they did during their time in the ATR. It’s some what helped on people that I might have missed

Coaches are first aid trained, right? EAP in place? Could you work on documentation during practice, as an example?

We have Healthy Roster and you can use voice dictation on the iPad / iPhone apps. Sometimes I’ll use it but other times I find it annoying when I say certain medical terms and it hears something else.

ATS allows you to setup quick notes to you can do commonly used phrases and it will input them with a short command. Also like others have mentioned dictation through your mobile devices works great as well! Plus ATS has “daily info” section where you can do all your documentation in one spot!

JuCo, so we know nobody is paying for a service. But I do a lot of talk to text on the sideline and expand on the note in SportsWare if necessary. Just keep it simple as copy/paste.

Im not an AT but i am a caseworker. And we have an AI service that will listen and write the note out. (Of course you have to start it and gave to have permission for the person you meet with. ) it works well

We don’t have an EMR for ATs where I’m at so I just use Microsoft Word which has a dictation feature. Idk maybe you can use that then copy paste into the EMR you use??

I had to bring my laptop out with me and document as I’m chatting with each patient. It helped me out a lot. On days where that wasn’t feasible, I took notes on my phone and essentially copied and pasted during practice. It also helped I had an appointment app, so I am able to tell how busy I’ll be during my treatment times and if I’m going to have the time to take a breath during treatments and document later.

I use healthy roster, you can set up templates, do voice dictations, have athletes check themselves in and you just go in and approve it for the day or edit it if the athlete messed it up.

I use ambient/commure!! Can customize how you want your soap note to come out and a progress notes. Uses AI to build it out for you and there's a google chrome extension to copy everything from your phone! Highly recommend. Never had to pay for it with an edu email!
