they just had higher levels of test due to the society they lived in, the food they ate, etc. we are poisoned by our food and society. we are babied and pampered compared to them

Compared to modern humans, they were out in the wild. Wild boars are just pigs out in the wild. Epigenetics is a thing.

Gladiators did not look anything near a bodybuilder of today. Most of them had a high body fat%. Big, strong and trained to use weapons. The higher body fat protected vital organs to be damaged.

It’s more likely they just had naturally high test, were in a constant state competition which increases test. They slept and ate naturally and worked out all the time.

When reality and Netflix start to mix😅 Some humans can naturally be very big but gladiators were never bodybuilders because a bodybuilder would lose vs someone smaller with a spear in seconds.

Because of the food and lifestyles. They were “on gear” for modern times because of their natural test production.

A) They most likely didn't look like the statues, but they knew of that body type from the .01% of people that could achieve that physique and used it to "exaggerate". B) Romans had the concept of bodybuilding and how to lift for muscle growth.
