@imyofav_opp: Storytime .. I would keep an extra change of clothes, soap, a wash cloth, and my tooth brush with me at all times in my book bag. Burger King helped me so much .. they gave me a clean bathroom to get ready in before/after school, pop bibs in the back of the restaurant to lay down on and shut my eyes for a little, a manager who still to this day is a close friend who made the schedules and would align mine with what would help me have a place to get ready before school and schedule my breaks perfectly so I could continue working all night until close without violating minor labor laws so I would have somewhere to go after school. They fed me when I had no way to get food because every check was going towards paying for a car so I had a stable place to sleep once I turned 16 no matter what. Sometimes the managers let me sleep at their house, they would let me eat dinner there so I had home cooked meals, they would come save me when things went wrong at peoples houses that I had to give myself to just to have couches or floors to sleep on some nights. I remember a manager bought me my first name brand hoodie, I couldn’t believe it, I still have it until this day lol Burger King was my escape from a lot of things and it provided so much for me when I was restricted from a lot in life because I was still a child .. & most importantly, they never tried to get the system involved, because they knew it would’ve separated me and my little brother .. they just gave me resources to make my situation easier .. I will never forget them bird baths before school or them pop bibs that’d I’d stack up perfectly like a bed in dry storage to keep me from falling asleep as much in class. Oh also, nobody can fw me on the whopper board, I can make & wrap them sandwiches with my eyes closed 🤣🙏🏼🙏🏼 #storytime #fyp #foryou #foryoupage
