Catholics are taught to adore and respect the mother of Jesus as holy intercessor. Although it might not be your belief, it's not very hard to understand why people would feel a connection towards the human mother of their God. The apparition of this image is believed to be a miracle. Our Lady Mary "appears" in different places, so that's also why there are so many different images, names and churches for Mary. I’m a Christian so I don’t necessarily pray or worship to Mary but I LOVVVVEEEEE the history of her. I love how cultures and religions see her as such a beautiful prophet and I love the devotion to her in this beautiful church/temple (I’m sorry idk the official name of the building). I think it’s a beautiful testimony on a mother’s love to the Son who gave us everything and I love to appreciate her. I love how a woman is truly appreciated for doing something so beautiful, carrying and birthing a child. So many women are/were oppressed and their only purpose were to breed like cattle for their husbands, but this…this woman proved that it is the greatest gift anyone can give…a child but also the Son of God
