@bornconfused259: Why does Sri Durgiana Mandir in Amritsar look so similar to Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple)? 🕉️✨ In 1905, the Sikh manager of Harmandir Sahib ordered the removal of idols and end of Hindu practices inside the temple — in line with Sikh scripture and later backed by the Tat Khalsa. But when these idols were removed with disregard and disrespect, a divide was created. ⛔ Before this, Udasis and Hindu priests were free to meditate and pray there. After the ban, they were no longer allowed. 👉 Those very idols were later enshrined in the Durgiana Mandir, Amritsar. SIKHS are not Hindues.Darbar Sahib was built in 1604.The English rulers gave the name GoldenTemple, because the building of Darbar Sahib was decorated by Maharaja Ranjit Singh with gold.Guru granth Sahib ji was placed by Guru Arjan Sahib in 1604.After 1716 when sikhs were fighting with the Mugals,at that time the Nirmelese and Mahants who were semi Snatanias, and put Stone statues of hindus devies in the vanicity of Parkarma.which were removed later on by the Singh Sabha movement.
