HTTD: How’s Erin Doing? UPDATE 8 - Hurricane Erin: (There goes Krosa’s record, the new record number of updates is now 8!) Well, Erin is soon to be no longer with us in the North Atlantic, having just an estimated 4 days before being considered to have been dissipated in the Arctic Ocean with its projected closest point to Iceland somewhere between 625 and 670 kilometers in distance. As of right now, Hurricane Erin currently has maximum sustained winds of up to 90mph with a very low estimated central air pressure of 956mb, moving northeast at an approximate speed of 22mph. Erin is currently making its last impacts on the British island territory of Bermuda, providing tropical storm-force wind gusts as well as an estimated inch of rainfall currently being dumped onto the region. Bermuda is under a Tropical Storm Warning by the NHC for these reasons, but these conditions aren’t expected to last much longer. Erin’s next potential target is to be the island country of Iceland, where it isn’t expected to make landfall, less so as a tropical system, but will make some noticeable atmospheric changes coming within the next 4 to 5 days, where forecasts expect Iceland to receive upwards of one and a half inches (~38mm) of rain in the country’s capital of Reykjavík. That’s pretty much it for this storm. Future updates coming soon for other active or potential systems as this will likely be the last update for Hurricane Erin. #fyp #foryou #fypシ #erin #hurricaneerin #bermuda #iceland #hurricaneseason #2025hurricaneseason #natl #northatlantic #hurricane #update #category1 #advisory #httd #howsthetropicsdoing?
