TEACH YOUR DOG TO CROSS WITH YOU! Save this post for future reference ❤️ What you’ll need: - A puppy - A touch pad - A clicker (optional) Steps: 1. Hold out the touch pad in front of your dog and ask your dog to touch it with their RIGHT paw. 2. Bring the pad over to your dog’s left side and continue asking for your touch to touch with their RIGHT paw. 3. Continue Step 2 with the pad on the floor on the left. Your dog will start naturally crossing to touch the pad. At this point, you can start saying the command “cross”. You can stop here if you would like, but if you would like your dog to mirror you, then continue on to Step 4. 4. Kneel next to your dog’s right side and practice the “cross” command with a body signal (i.e. me crossing my arms) 5. Stand up and repeat Step 4. Cross your right leg over your left! 6.
