They are definitely real! I've seen 2 and fed one peanut butter filled apples for a year in North Carolina. It would throw rocks at the cabin to let me know that he wanted his apples. Infuriated my fiance at the time. Most amazing nature experience that I've ever experienced! I never felt afraid. In fact, I felt safe because I knew the most powerful creature in nature wasn't going to let anything happen to his apple lady. I'm assuming it was a male. It would never step out if the tree line but I could see it's outline. Especially in a full moon. I measured the limb to see how tall it was. It was little over 9 ft tall and walked on the 2 upright. Later, I saw a picture that was taken in northern Georgia. It's looked exactly like Harry. Yes, I named him. Where the picture was taken was an hour from my cabin.
