I love this place bin there several times cliff climbing on left of falls and they camp over night with peg bed on wall . Beautiful place

it has a swith back located in Feid B.C home to Emerald Lake Natural Bridge,O'Hara Lake,half way up Feild Hill is Spiral Tunnels incredible history, top of Feild there's a picnic area take a hike up mountain you come to fork Right side to ranger fire station lookout,at fork straight takes you Lake sorry can't remember name? If cross Hwy south of Hwy this is Wapta Lake ( clear water) follow tracks to East end look you into water see tracks going into Lake,it went in 42,43 rumor to be full of wine never found. water at falls comes off Columbia Icefield.

You should see it in the spring when Ithe snow melts 3 times the flow then in summer worth a early spring trip

know it well. Years ago, I used to camp right next to the falls at the top. the campsite was closed years later. It was pronounced ta-ka-ka (short a) falls.

as a child we walked to the base when it was very hot outside. The force of the mist from the falls was just incredible. We were soaked, freezing and happy, and the rest of the day was wonderful warming up.
