@nualamorey: My brain was spinning when this guest sat in my chair. Normally, I would think of a style and colour that would suit someone sitting in my chair straight away, this guest was different—a challenge. I love a challenge. She had an all-over colour she had been getting for years, dry, dehydrated curls, and troublesome ends. Different ideas were popping into my head, but I just kept thinking...she needs to go lighter. Going lighter over time had its own challenges, and she lived far away, so she could only visit me every six months and needed another stylist to top up her colour in between. After doing a full colour analysis, I told her my idea: to go blonde all over. She trusted me and went for it. I did this by using the k18 bond-repairing treatment, followed by doing a full level 10 root tint on the virgin hair only. Then, I used three levels of lightener: 5, 10, and 20. All in foils. I applied plenty of product, and in most foils, used all three levels of lightener, aiming for 20 on the darkest and 5 on the lightest pieces of hair.
